For truly full coverage you should totally take pictures from above

Thanks! I believe it's a isohedron(?), and yes it is a special type of fold. This was an early photosynth, and I was nowhere near the point of taking pictures from above (I still have a hard time because I'm using a $200 camera, but I think the vibrant colors helped.
