We've done a lot of collaboration with NASA for Photosynth and they provided us with these great images from mission STS116 while it was orbiting the earth.

This would benefit enormously from an option to warp the photos using the point data - see which areas in any given photo a point relates to and warp that area to the point in 3d space.

You can almost see a true 3D model but it's mostly dots where there should be some images.

When you zoom in it and look at the details it makes you wonder how a space shuttle can survive re-entry.
