Description

360 degree view over Vatican and Rome take from the dome of st Peter's Basilica.

There is public access to the dome. I used the roof structures as guidance to get even spacing of photos. The photos were stitched with Image Composite Editor available as free download from Microsoft Research.

you have access to the dome tower? And how did you do it that the seams are not obvious? Great work!

@Candres10, this is a panorama, created with Microsoft Image Composite Editor, not a Photosynth.

Photosynths are good for moving through and around things, whereas panoramas are good for getting a big view from one point of view.

Grazie per avermi fatto rivivere i momenti più belli della mia gioventù. 35 anni fa ero là sopra ad ammirare il panorama di Roma più bello. Giulio
