Thank you both - Try this: choose the point cloud, grip the ring and try to look into the trunk from the roots. You will see a giant maelstrom...or see this tree in the locator from above.

When you see a halo/donut if you hold the ctrl key down you can temporarily hide the photos, then grab the halo and spin it freely. It's fun!

Trees are so synthy it's crazy. I really doing the halo trick above and looking up through the bottom of the tree.
