Description

The pretty harbour of Lower Fishguard is popular with leisure sailors but still serves the small inshore fishing community. Lower Fishguard was the location for the 1971 film of' Under Milk Wood', starring Richard Burton; and was one of the locations used in the filming of 'Moby Dick', starring Gregory Peck, in 1956. The much-missed Welsh author and broadcaster Wynford Vaughan-Thomas lived in a house overlooking the harbour.
