Description

This is an engineering mockup of the Lunar Rover at the Museum of Flight in Seattle, WA. These rovers were used on 3 lunar missions (Apollo 15-17) and were driven for more than 56 miles on the surface of the moon.

You can read more about the how the rover was built and operated at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunar_rover

I'd like to go back sometime and shoot again with a tripod - these were all taken at ISO 3200 due to the dark nature of the exhibit. I wish I had a clearer shot of the instrument panel.
