Description
A natural dam on the Jemez river. The Soda Dam is formed by mineral rich water rising to the surface of the earth through hot springs. Once exposed to open air and cooling, the water can no longer hold the dissolved minerals, which have built up in thin layers over thousands of years to form this dam.
