Description
Handheld panorama taken March 27, 2011 from Rogers Peak (9,994 ft), a neighbor of Telescope Peak, the highest mountain in Death Valley. There was too much snow on the trail to make it to Telescope so I had to settle for this view. The big March storms had just stopped and I had to find something to do before the avalanche danger in the Sierra would allow me to climb Mount Whitney. Snow shoes and crampons were needed to get to the top or Rogers Peak.
