Description

Aspendos is known for having the best-preserved theater of antiquity. The theater was built in 155[1] by the Greek architect Zenon, a native of the city, during the rule of Marcus Aurelius. The ancient city of Aspendos (modern city of Belkis, ancient city of Pamphylia) is located on Turkey's southern Mediterranean coast forty-seven kilometers from the modern city of Antalya
