Well, trying to synth a living komodo dragon in the wild while trekking is especially difficult.... considering the guard that kept on telling you "Please, step behind, these are really dangerous Sir, don't go that near"

That's not how I envisoned Komodo looking at all. I was expecting much more vegetation

This land is really dry and according to local people, it looks now currently "green".... if you go on the highlights to "Flores Sea", you will see the typical kind of vegetation: mangroves on the sea sides, then it becomes really dry with trees from which the local spirit "Arak" is made from. During the rain season, it should be a bit better. But I do agree with you. Not typicaly the kind of environment you were looking for.
