6-20-09 5:12PM - A 360 degree panorama of the surrounding mountains. Approaching the Cables to climb up half dome. The cables is the final 400ft ascent to the top of Half dome. It is too steep to climb unassisted so you literally have to pull yourself up with the cables.

The path to the top of half dome looks really steep, or is it just the angle the images were taken from? Seem to be plenty of people going up it.

It is indeed as steep as it looks. It is too steep to climb unassisted, so you have to pull yourself up the cables.
