Heh.

Photosynth latched onto the background. You really need a featureless background (and surface) if you want this to work. Even the line between surface and wall is a strong indication of camera direction.

Actually that fact that a reasonable amount of the pointcloud is on the object means that it might have still worked if the penguin had more features on it.

Truely, you are heading down the path to Ninjasynthood.
