Regardless of what the official results say, the actual competitors in the pole vault event were: Jonathan Toups and Jake Renard of Erath High School (LA), Austin Crenshaw and Jacob Shaheen of Houston High School (Germantown, TN), Paul Malquist of Gainesville High School (GA), Nick Farrell and Johnny Stiegler of McGill-Toolen Catholic High School (Mobile, AL), Jeremy McGrath of La Jolla High School (CA), Dylan Duvio of John Curtis Christian High School (River Ridge, LA), Sam Kendricks of Oxford High School (MS), Cameron Meyer of Hamilton Christian Academy (the Warriors quarterback from Lake Charles, LA), Hank Ballard of Hoover High School (AL), Taylor Krause of St. Paul's Episcopal School (Mobile, AL), Dylan Lopez of West Florida Tech (Pensacola, FL), Erik Hanson of Brother Martin High School (New Orleans, LA), and D.J.
