Description

Dominating the center of Chichén Itzá is the Temple of Kukulkan (the Maya name for Quetzalcoatl), often referred to as "El Castillo" (the castle). This step pyramid has a ground plan of 9 square terraces (referring to the 9 underground worlds of the maya) with 4 staicases each having 91 steps on each of the four sides to the temple. This sums up to 364 stairs which together with the top platform represent the 365 days of the year.

Very nice, I love this place. Congrats for getting all 4 sides - most people just take the 2 they can see from the plaza.
