Was originally a wintermarket from about 1750 to 1870 as a farmers exchange market. Now it is a spring market with all sorts of things. The market was prohibited 1870 by the district court after a commotion with gunfire. The prohibition is not revoked so the market is in fact illegal.
But this is only the short version.
