I was glad to see that you tried this set of photos as a true panorama with ICE as well, since this was shot as a panorama.

Where a true photosynth surpasses panoramas is in its ability to stitch a scene together from any number of different camera positions - giving you the freedom to change distance and angle from your subject at will and allow your audience to walk the grounds as they wish.

By contrast, you simply can't successfully stitch a panorama unless all the photos are taken from the same point of view.
