I like this. Most of the synth is built on the Louvre itself, not the pyramids, which as you've pointed out elsewhere are glass and symmetrical. It still gives a good feel for the open space.

This is really excellent, but I think there are a few which haven't been synthed together properly. When shifting around, where once there were pyramids, then there aren't. I can't say I blame the program though - the Louvre's symmetrical building design would make that very difficult. Nevertheless, fantastic!

thanks for your comments ! Johnld, you are absolutly right, the shape of this design make it quite hard for photosynth to match properly all the photos. I had an another version of it with 300 photos but it's quite a mess with the glass structure. another problem is the shooting distance: on the side, the distance tightens a lot. if you are interested in more experience, i have tried to shoot the opera garnier using the sporting mode of the camera. the resulting cloud is quite nice. it took 8 h of processing ! http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=6e748d35-ecc8-4cbb-a3d9-a373b75df338
