Can you tell me the size of the pictures you uploaded here? I've had issues with having 1000 pictures. I think the size(over 2gb) could have been the issue. Maybe you can help me!

Hi Darren, yes. The total size of the photos is under 285M (very small). Most of the photos are low resolution, at 640x480. About 22 photos are higher resolutions at around 3000x2000 or less (about 60M).
My highest synthed photo number was 1,499. I have others over 1,400:

I was able to synth more than 1700 photos on a borrowed 8 core machine with 8gb of ram. I wouldn't recommend it though, we don't test Photosynth to that scale normally and it usually doesn't improve the experience much to go above 500. a wider lens always helps since you can get more overlap per photo.

Thanks Ken, the reason is I planned to photosynth a large area together. So I'm interested in how far I can push the technology before I encounter issues.
