Some of you may remember Henri Astre from his work on Photosynth Toolkit http://bit.ly/photosynth-toolkit
or his early days attempts at a WebGL viewer for original photosynths. http://bit.ly/ps1wglchrome
Nowadays, he works on the Photosynth 2 viewer.
Early Monday, he released a new Chrome extension which adds some fun new experimental toys to the Photosynth.net main site (such as viewing any user's uploads on a world map).
It also gives you a peek at an updated version of the Photosynth 2 viewer with an updated debug panel (only on the 'Explore most recent PS2' and 'Explore most viewed PS2' pages).
(Click on 'Search' at the top of the site after installing his new extension and click the links of those names.)
Here's his web log entry telling you about the new features: http://www.visual-experiments.com/2014/02/03/photosynth-website-on-steroids/
And here's an easy to remember link to nab the extension: http://bit.ly/photosynthchrometoys
I love this!
Thanks for the heads up Nate. This stuff is fabulous. I'm especially taken with the 'explore most recent/viewed PS2'. When i find a cool PS2 synth i'm likely to see what else that user has done and this view mode packs loads of good info into a single window!
If you are out there Henri, thanks for providing this to us. Let me know what i can do to make this part of the official roll out :)
