When turning this spin manually by keyboard, at one point it jumps to a photo that belongs to another point in the sequence and jumps back again. What is going on?
Here's the image in question: http://photosynth.net/preview/view/44f31983-6153-4711-8d36-2a6f91cf6b0b?startat=30&autoplay=false
Turn on the map when loading at that link and it's clear what's wrong with the reconstruction, but as to *why* it's happening... I don't know.
I had a similar error on a synth back in December:
Here's my problem image: http://photosynth.net/preview/view/f7cea595-1822-4471-bdd6-d90ed751aeb2?startat=4&autoplay=false
The reconstruction is actually correct, however the closest photo to the cookies (which is the one that has the issue) displays completely out of sequence with the other photos which can be demonstrated by using the left or right arrow keys from that image.
Nate, aren't we supposed to keep about the same distance to the central object? This is not the case in your spin with a close-up of the cookies.
@PhotosynthTeam. Please your take on this.
I did intentionally spin out from center, and I could have tried mine as a Wall or Walk to see if it worked better but I had recently viewed David Gedye's similar synth here: http://photosynth.net/preview/view/55dda0d6-3c23-4e15-a023-89c7c94d112e (That's actually a re-upload on his account, but the same data as the one I'd seen.)
To spin out and in is a nice effect indeed.
