Not showing Highlights while full screen a design choice or bug?
This was a design choice. Full-screen is supposed to just be about the imagery, with as little distraction as possible. That said, I agree that suppressing the highlights when in full-screen may not be what people want. What do you all think?

I think just minimizing them to the 'show highlights' icon is sufficient.

If history is any indicator of trends in future user usage patterns, the majority of synths won't have highlights added to them and the point will be moot in those cases.

For people who are making consistent use of highlights across their synths or panos, it will be important to them for their highlights to be able to remain accessible when showcasing their work fullscreen.

Well, if IE11 is set to not have the tabs shown always, then as for screen size, there is very little difference with going full screen.

I like Nate's suggestion to minimize automatically to the 'show highlights' icon.

I hope Photosynth history will be a very poor indicator in general for future usage patterns. I hope to live to see Photosynth being in mainstream use.

My drive to start this topic is a feeling close to what Nate describes in his last paragraph. It depends on what is the aim, traditional creative and great photography or sharing todays real life scenery now and into the future.

I take it you are referring to the Windows Store version of IE11, Joscelin?

I'd like to see highlights in fullscreen mode, "minimizing" them by default could be an option. But then please also add the button for showing synth description + comments, too.

That was ambiguously worded. I meant "minimizing them by default could be an option" in the sense of "is a good idea".

Just a thought, Christoph, (I guess you already know) but if you want fullscreen presentation with unabridged/unabbreviated menus, you could just use the web browser's own fullscreen mode (usually via F11 on Windows).

Yes, I am referring to modern ui / Metro version of IE11.

Hello everyone, photosynth is great and I've used it to make a virtual tour of our church. Throughout this tour I make many highlights including those that LINK to another areas of our church.
For this usage highlights are crucial, for without them the point is lost. Thus I would strongly prefer that photosynth would enable to have highlights on consistently in all modes (embedded, fullscreen etc.).
Perhaps there may be a setting that enables to turn highlights on and off.

Can I expect this to happen?
