Topic: Last frame in spin is different size!

Hi - on this spin >> that I created, the last frame has been made smaller (it was shot same as others) so it makes the end jump. Scroll to the end of sequence and you'll see the effect. Is there something I can do to stop this happening?

You mean that it zoomes out a bit when you reach the ends? That's actually a feature. It can be disabled in the 42 menu (enter "42") under Path -> endpoint.

I was going to say the same thing, Christoph, but can you tell me why this visibly affects the left side of the spin but not the right side when endpoints are turned on?

@HGREGG, the Photosynth 2 viewer will zoom out and do a bit of a 'rubber band' animation when you get to the end of a non-circuitous camera path, similar to scrolling past the end of a web page on some mobile browsers. That is the feature that Christoph was mentioning.

Also, if you type the letter C into the viewer for your spin and zoom out, you'll see that there's no real size difference between any of the photos' reconstructed position.

@christoph_hausner and @NateLawrence many thanks for your replies, I've only just started with Photosynth and I have a lot to learn! Especially big thanks for the '42' tip - I do like to get 'under the bonnet' (or hood!) - is there somewhere where such things are documented? I have 'M' and 'C' so far.

As far as I know, the debug panel hasn't been mentioned in any official documentation, but was just mentioned in correspondence between the Photosynth team and users.
The [M] and [C] ones are mentioned on the Preview site's 'About' page
So far, the only mention of the keyboard in the Preview site's FAQ is pressing the [Enter] key to post a comment on a synth.

I started a thread in December to keep track of keyboard shortcuts. Please add any new ones that you discover there.

Thanks Nate - if I find any I'll do that :-)
