As some may recall, I have made comments in the past about problems with Photosynth 1 concerning the automatic placement of a synth on the map, based on the geo co-ordinates in the pics. My last conclusion was that there was something wrong with these co-ordinates, as it was my first time with my Lumix TZ10, using gps and shooting for synths, back in 2010. I never set myself to creating the synths of the about 1500 pics from this tour in France because of this issue, until a couple of days ago. It turns out that Photosynth 2 Preview has no problem at all with the geo co-ordinates and Map placement is correct. Very precise, most of the time. As some cannot be created with Photosynth 2 and have nice scenery and memories, I have created new synths with Photosynth 1. Resulting automatic map positioning in Photosynth 1 is off for many KM. Good to see that this issue is solved after 4 years :-( in Photosynth 2 :-).
