Get all your questions answered about our latest Photosynth Technical Preview.
I realized tonight that for folks who are limited to using the video previews of synths that the option to skip forward and backward to neighboring synths in a feed of synths (as debuted in the 2014 June 10 update to the Photosynth 2 Tech Preview http://bit.ly/psbtpmah ) is not available.
My old desktop is one such machine and the video preview is very much appreciated there.
I am trying to use the skip forward/skip back functionality more, but would like video-only users to enjoy the same convenience as those machines which enjoy WebGL support.
Just to be perfectly clear, in the same way that autoplay is set to true when jumping to the next or previous synth from the proper 3D viewer, it is important that if I am jumping to a neighboring synth from a video preview of a synth that mode=movie also be attached to the neighboring synths' URLs in addition to autoplay being set to true, so that (as a user limited to video previews) the next synth loads its video preview, rather than having to manually edit the URL every time that I move between synths.
I momentarily wondered if the only reason that I wasn't seeing the 'Next' and 'Previous' arrows was that I was manually editing the URLs to mode=movie (and thus not arriving at the video preview page directly from a feed page).
I then temporatily disabled WebGL in Chrome via chrome://flags and then loaded up my profile after that and entered a synth (which took me directly to the video preview page from my profile) but the 'Next' and 'Previous' arrows still don't display in this case.
