Topic: Viewing Different Upload Types on the Photosynth 2 Map

I'd seen when I looked at the new map page that looking at both Photosynth 2 synths (SynthPackets) and stitched panoramas (Panos) by default gave you a link like this:

Looking at just Photosynth 2 synths looks like this:

Looking at just stitched panoramas looks like this:

That made me wonder if I could substitute the variable for Photosynth 1 synths into the link.
It turns out that it will pull up the pushpins, thumbnails, titles, + authors, but because original synths haven't been moved to the Tech Preview site, the embed previews don't work because of the extra /preview in the URLs.

Combine any two or more variables with %2C

The five collection categories listed in the Photosynth Web Service are as follows:
Undefined or Synth or Panorama or DeepZoomPhoto or SynthPacket
I haven't had any luck querying the map for DeepZoomPhotos or Undefineds, though.

If anyone has any bright ideas as to how to filter down to looking at only geotagged Spins, Walks, Walls, or Panorama Synths, please post back here.

I'm also interested in knowing if it's possible to filter to only mobile panos or (soon) mobile photosynths, as on the old Photosynth 1 Explore page.
Filtering to only panoramas uploaded from desktop/laptop would be interesting as well, as they're usually higher resolution.

To accommodate specific interests in the audience, I definitely agree with having more filter options.

The ability to include synths there is a "feature" even I was not aware of :) There are no options for filtering mobile vs non-mobile or by various synth topologies at this time.

Not sure what "DeepZoomPhoto" refers to, I think it's been there for quite some time, though. But interestingly, the new PS2 javascript code also has a collection type enum containing an entry "Photos". Now don't tell me you don't know what that is ;)
