I am a neuroscience graduate student at UCLA. I work on a fluorescent microscope and would love to be able to reconstruct 3D images from a set of z- stacks. With all the brain mapping efforts, I think this platform could lend itself to an easier way to navigate brain atlases. I have uploaded immunostained coronal slices of a mouse brain taken from the open access site brainmaps.com. The scientific community could really use a sophisticated form of mapping, especially since there's so much data/images from various sources... using a 3D template with which to project these data in a more organized way.
