Do you have an idea for an awesome feature we should add… or hate the way we’re currently doing something? Share your ideas and suggestions here.
There should be an ability to record the surrounding sound while taking a 360 picture (from the time you start till when you hit finish). Often times when taking photos, you are in very interesting places with music, speech, etc going on (think New York Times multimedia slideshows). This optional ability would add to the scene.

Sorry for the late reply, but I appreciate your response. Very good to know this is a community feature request rather than just a personal one. It's a shame that the photosynth team has not yet added this feature in. What will it take for you guys to do this. Can't be very technically challenging to do. I suspect it has to do with certain patent issues behind the scene.
Hi, Ahmad (I hope I'm getting your name right).
I'm the one who replied above, but I'm not a Microsoft rep - just your fellow user.
I don't really know how much the Photosynth team monitors this older Suggestions forum these days.
They are busy building Photosynth 2 at the moment http://photosynth.net/preview and are mostly just active in the forum for the Photosynth 2 Tech Preview site here: http://photosynth.net/forum.aspx?cat=00581351-82d8-438d-a37b-7eadb3fb4991
