Howdy, question about the overhead view and trying to align to bing maps. Here is my synth, http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=bedaa41e-2098-4b88-8e59-cd900a80ee0a, but because it was aerial the overhead view is actually from the side. I have similar problems with my other aerial synths. This means that when I try to geo-align the cloud it is not in the correct overhead alignment compared to the aerial maps. Is there a way to change the rotation along more axes in the geo-alignment tool or is there a way to change the default overhead view? Thanks!
This is definitely a necessary feature.
As with so many things, if the automatic detection doesn't get the job done, user intervention should be allowed to set things right.
We've looked into it this and, alas, we would break more standard use cases by tweaking our logic, and the number of synths affected is small enough that us coding up a manual adjustment process is unlikely any time soon. Sorry.
