A while back there was some discussion of Photosynth applying a stereo photogrammetry algorithm to photo pairs inside a set of images for the purpose of constructing extremely dense point clouds. The last time I asked this was under development. Not that I'm being pushy, just being nosy: Any idea when this would be ready to roll? I've got some synths I'd be interested in playing with.
Shh. Blaise won't ever show what's going on behind the scenes in one of his lectures again or will ban everyone from recording video if we ask too much.
That being said... I'm curious too.
I'll button up, then.
If Blaise and the rest of the developers need image sets to test their algorithms on, just let me know. Seriously. Really seriously.
I'm not quite sure how you whisper on here, but this sounds very interesting. If it'll help the cause I've hundreds of processed photogrammetric models which can be saved in DXF, CSV, APA, SIMA, VRML formats and used as comparators.
