Well the topic is pretty self explanatory, but I believe if there was some way of being able to add some photos to it, and or making it so others could too. If you could do that, the possibilities would never end. I was also jsut loading up my first one, checked it out, and then I read the guide on how to make the best synth. So I decided I didn't have enough photos. I had to re-upload it after I took all the extra photos.

Now this jsut comes to mind, maybe you wouldn't have to try to program it so it would sync the photos together online; you could add an addition button so it updates any photos that you add to your synth that is already uploaded?

Well just a thought, I think this is a great program, and it makes me very excited!

Add photos to a Synth previously made will be a very useful and "social" feature!!
I'm sure the PhotoSYnth developers have yet a solution... because I know some "Social" photosynths made with the wide collaboration of users making photos of the same place (at the same time or not).
I think it could be a very interesting step ahead!!

I agree with the others. I have spent the last hour or so looking for a way to add photos to a synth but could not find a way. It would be good for us to expand a synth, make a bad synth into a better synth or to just explore more possibilities.

If you let others add to a synth of mine though I would like to see my original synth stay intact but to add a link to the expanded sythn so I could see the progress of it from others

I agree with this.

I've just added to my own synth by uploading the new images and recalculating. As you add images, the way the synth is put together seems to change. I don't know how the code works, but from what I can see, even adding a single image changes the relationships between many surrounding images.

I think all of the collaborative efforts have been created by someone collecting together a library of shots and then generating the synth. I think one machine has to do the calculations - merging two massive synths would be a right nightmare. I think. Maybe...

All, The way the synther works is that it compares each photo to every other photo to find matches. Therefore it's not a matter of simply adding an additional photo or two a synth, but rather redoing all those comparisons. For right now, you need to reupload your synth to add additional images.

There should be a manual option to specify overlapping points - as in autocad catch123 - as the application is missing what appear to me to be obvious overlaps and rejecting photos, annoying!
