Just came across the Favorites Places lists feature on Bing Maps. I feel there is an opportunity here to improve integration with Photosynth and of course Windows Live.

Related to this, since I've used Bing Maps 'My Places' for years now, I've always wished (from the day the Photosynth Bing Map App was released) that if I was signed into Bing Maps with my Live ID that the Photosynth App would open up with a few more choices, such as:

:: to see all of my own geotagged synths on the map
:: to see all of my favorited geotagged synths on the map
:: to filter those two categories by time and a geographical location

As Joscelin points out, if I have already authenticated myself to Bing Maps via my Live ID, it would be nice to have my lists of geotagged synths and geotagged favorite synths synced to my Bing Maps 'My Places' as well - perhaps separated into two separate 'collections' as default, with the ability to move them into other folders without duplicates being made or their location in my collections changed at the next sync.

Would be cool if you could embed your favorites map with geo-tags into a web site too.

Yeah. Strangely, Bing Maps will let you embed an AJAX version of a Bing Map, but not a Silverlight Bing Map. I'd like to see that remedied as well.

Seems to me that we have a lot of splendid ideas on this forum. Also fromother things going on in the tech world I get the impression that to todays standards Microsoft has become a slow mover. Missed the smart phone hype. Misses the touchpad hype. Looks like there are walls within the company and some suffocating control. Hey Stevie, turn your people loose and let them get at it.

Microsoft, please read the above messages. They are a year old... and has there been any progress? how about posting a comment for us to see based on their requests.
