I requested Bing Search "Plaza Mayor, Trinidad, Cuba, Photosynth". It did not return any Photosynth. Are listed Photosynths exposed to search engines? If not, then why not?

Add the word Photosynth to your query and it'll usually find what you're asking for right away, whether that's Bing or Google.

I think that the reason that synths and panos from the site don't rank higher is simply because the traffic of the site is lower and things like the Wikipedia article on a given location and photos of it from Flickr or videos from YouTube are all going to rank higher on most people's lists of things they were looking for or expecting to see.

I think that if Bing is wise, they'll feature a synth of a place more prominently in their results in the future as long as it's a good one, but as for Google, I really don't know.
I'm sure they'd rather feature Google Views, Picasa Web, or Panoramio uploads for imagery, rather than send any traffic to Microsoft's services (lest they help Photosynth grow at the impediment of their own services) unless you explicitly specify that you're looking for a Photosynth upload of that name.
