This week, a a large flock of fairly rare little birds visited my backyard. They are after the berries on one of my trees and make a huge mess of the place every year. This year, I charged them the fee of taking their photos. They are skittish little birds that fly at the moment they notice something move nearby, but they seemed curious about the regularity of movement from the gigapan robot. They even came in for a closer look. I took three gigapan 360 panos in rapid sequence. The first shot captured the birds five different times. The next two, not as much. I combined all the sightings into one image, now called "Put A Bird On It" (after a line from TV's Portlandia). How many Western Tanagers can you find in it?
