Geotags, aerial synths, street synths… capturing events as they happen. If you can mark it on a map, then this is the place to talk about it.
Pleased to announce I will be presenting. The talk will lean to the technical side. Wish me luck:)...
Is anyone in attendance setting up a video camera?
Would be very interested to see your presentation if you can find the right video host (maybe http://vimeo.com ?).
If you haven't seen Blaise's latest talk from the first annual Augmented Reality Event around June 3, I embedded it over on the Ning community that Gary Mortimer started up at this link: http://photosynth.ning.com/video/augmented-reality-event-2010 Maybe it'll give you a few more notes to share.
I'm also curious if you've explored CMVS or PMVS or anything else on the Bundler side of things like PhotoCity ( http://photocitygame.com ) which is using Bundler > CMVS > PMVS server-side.
The synthing of Flickr photos onto Bing Streetside panoramas that Blaise showcased at TED 2010 and Google's continued efforts to do the same with Panoramio, Picasa, and Flickr photos are noteworthy too, I think, but those may have already come out the last time we talked... I can't recall.
Anyway, hope all goes well!
Tnx. I will check these things out. If there's a video it will be done by the Society (got my hands full!). Will let you know...
Sunday, July 18, 2010: SUCCESS!:) Photosynth shared w/ 50 people! And w/o a glitch:) No video, but PowerPoint slideshow to be posted, soon...
I'm glad it went well for you. Lookin' forward to seeing your slides.
Here's the slideshow!
