Hi, I'm new to Photosynth and am a little confused. I thought I wanted to create a photosynth of a Hotel Lobby, however, I guess I really needed to create a panorama. I downloaded ICE and when I add the pictures it works and shows the photo but when I want to "publish to photosynth" it loads for a bit to about 25-30% and then says "Microsoft Image Compositor Editor has stopped working.. a problem has caused the program to stop working. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." Can someone help me? I'm doing a huge project and really would like to get this finished. Thanks in advance! Keesa

Hi, Keesa,

I'm only your peer. I've asked the ICE and Photosynth folks to reply to you, so hopefully you'll hear from them.

In the meantime, if you just need the panorama for your project, I'd be happy to stitch it for you on my computer and upload a copy to my account until you can find out what's causing ICE to crash on your computer. (I think it might be running out of RAM.)

If you want me to go ahead and do this, just upload your input photos to SkyDrive (be sure to uncheck the default option to shrink the images at the top of the upload list) and share the folder with me at

For the record, Keesa replied to me via email.

Panorama 1's 107 source photos, comprising five rows, are here:
I uploaded them to this account:
First a pano from all 107:

Then only top, center, and bottom rows (64 photos total) to use minimum overlap and try to reduce any parallax possible in input data:

And the 64 again, slightly differently aligned/projected:

Her ICE error persists, so if a solution is ever found, please do reach out to her, as I'm sure she would like to simply use ICE on her own.
Currently, her only experience with it thus far is it not working.
