Did the leaves fall off? Something not working right? Let us know how we can improve the Photosynth experience.
Placed the share link in a facebook photo album description text box. The following link opens with a black synth window. Using the navigation arrows bting in the photos. What is going wrong? http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=08b7f329-8996-4df6-9bd2-a4edaed07e5a&m=false&i=0:1:0&c=0.0182274:-0.00457583:-0.00585499&z=634.441530927856&d=4.26783382744233:-1.26336774220705:-1.25252059862464&p=0:0&t=False
P.S. When will we get the link shortener? Will Windows Blue bring us better integration within the Microsoft services? We are waiting for years.
Joscelin, Facebook is simply chopping off the end of the Share Link, meaning that you have an incomplete set of camera coordinates when someone clicks the link in Facebook... + because of this you end up being loaded into a strange place in the synth/pano... or at least looking in an odd direction.
I am assuming that you know that if you want to link to the beginning of a synth or a pano, you just get the link to the view page from your profile + post that (which is short enough for Facebook to leave unmolested).
If you're intentionally using Share Links for their intended purpose of linking to a specific location + camera orientation + zoom level, then (for Facebook anyway + any other website which arbitrarily truncates long URLs) you'll need to use a third party URL shortener such as http://bit.ly
I'm not saying that I think that the responsibility *should* fall to us. I'm only saying that it does.
Don't expect the Blue wave of updates to impact Photosynth.
