This is not a bug but rather a request for information from the developers:
I have an iPhone 4 which has numerous Photosynth panoramas on it. For reasons to lengthy to explain, when I upgrade to iOS 5 (from 4) I MUST set up my phone as NEW rather than restoring from a backup. I assume when I sync my apps, I will loose all these panoramas. Unless 1) the folder that contains the app (and the "Documents" folder in which the panoramas are stored, is backed up along with the app OR 2) I can copy this folder en mass to my computer's hard drive and then replace it after the upgrade. I have ssh installed and can access the directory structure on the phone. The files live in /private/var/mobile/Applications/very-long-name/Documents. Will this work?
