Discussion about the now-retired Photosynth Apps for Windows Phone and iOS.
how can i get GYROSCOPE? my HD7 can't upload pictures because i don't have Gyroscope. Anyone... HELP ME!!
A gyroscope is a piece of hardware that helps measure detailed changes in the balance of an object. Because the HD7 is an older Windows Phone, it doesn't have a gyro. The only way to get a gyro will be to get a newer model of phone.
However... Although, the gyroscope is helpful to Photosynth when it is capturing the photos when you're shooting a new pano (makes the tracking a little smoother - especially for areas without visual detail like a cloudless blue sky), the app can do without a gyroscope if the phone doesn't have one.
My Samsung Focus is also an older Windows Phone without a gyro but I have no problems uploading panos from Photosynth's mobile pano app.
this has absolutely nothing to do with uploading the pano files
uploading the non-interactive picture file to Facebook works, but that's it
Sharing the link to the interactive version from Photosynth.net also works for me.
Try going to your profile page, here on the site, loading one of your synths or panos (if you haven't uploaded any yet, just search the site for an interesting subject and choose someone else's upload to test sharing with - or use one of my uploads, if you like), then, when you are on the synth's or pano's view page, click the 'Facebook' link below the lower right edge of the viewer.
Clicking that link here on the site should result in that same ability to post a link to Facebook. That way, you can at least see what is meant to happen so that you have a baseline experience to compare your lack of good fortune with the app thus far with. If nothing else, it is a workaround.
