Discussion about the now-retired Photosynth Apps for Windows Phone and iOS.
I currently have a medical facility website and we are using Photosynth to display hi res immersive panoramas of our facilities. when you go to or site on a pc it works great if you have Silverlight installed. I then went to the site on my lumia 920 and again it worked great. Which lead me to believe the content is served up using html 5 but when I attempt to view the site on my surface RT which does not support Silverlight it will not run. We have stopped using Silverlight because it is no compatible with mobile tech. Is there a way to force the embedded link to tell the server to load using the html 5 version rather then Silverlight?
so I figured it out but I don't like the way I have to do it. so it seems the user agent string is tbe same on windows rt as it is on pro. if you change your user agent string to windows phone 8 then you will get the correct version of the synth. however, for some reason I am not getting the hotspots.
