I hate the view you get with a lot of photos on here. The one where it fades between images. Uter rubbish !!! Why are photos not labled with the view type?

I keep clicking on images only to find the crap view. I just hit the back button !!

What do you mean by view type? If I understand what you're dissatisfied with, maybe I could find a way around it.

I meant to ask: Are you asking about panoramas or photosynths?

If you're talking about photosynths, are you viewing them with the point cloud turned on behind the photos or the default 'photos only' view? Have you only used the Silverlight viewer or have you also tried the Direct3D synth viewer?

Are you talking about a photo progressively loading more resolution or something else?

It occurs to me that you may be referring to the transitions between completely unconnected clusters of photos. (This is to say, if you switched the synth to 2D view you can see which photos Photosynth was able to match by which ones are clustered together and when Photosynth comes to the end of one group of connected photos and needs to move to the next group, it fades, rather than transitioning spatially, since it doesn't know how they are connected spatially.

As you become more experienced in shooting photosynths, you end up having fewer and fewer disconnected clusters of photos or orphaned photos (orphaned photos being those that didn't connect to any others) as you learn what sort of positions Photosynth can match and what it probably won't.
