I gotta comment, I love the idea but I think the implementation sucks for low bandwidth. You gotta figure, some of us like to go remote places to capture panos. Well, I'm here to tell you that the upload functions are pretty bad in low bandwidth/spotty connectivity conditions. Your recovery from transport errors sucks big time!

I can't upload, there's no way to organize into folders/collections/buckets, how the heck can I go beyond the first upload? Like really, this is so #%!@ing difficult!

Hi, Crawdad, I assume that your criticism is aimed at the mobile pano app, rather than real Photosynth or full resolution ICE desktop panoramas.

You yourself claim that your problems occur in low bandwidth/spotty connectivity conditions. Why blame any particular app for poor upload performance when you don't have a decent connection?

I hope that doesn't come across as antagonistic. What other apps do you use that upload similar amounts of data well under these conditions?

I can agree that an 'upload all panoramas on my phone which are not yet in my account' option could be useful, but how many panos do you truly take before you get back to a decent connection, on average?

Are you reporting that after having gotten back to a stable connection you are unable to upload?

I'll grant you that has no concept of folders or collections within your own content. I don't understand what that has to do with "go[ing] beyond the first upload".

To be honest, this discussion seems as though it ought to be either a bug report in the Bugs forum:
or a suggestion in the New Feature Suggestions/Requests forum:
