Can’t seem to get something to synth right? Curious about what lens is best? Ask your fellow Photosynthers here.
I created a synth on my PC, and everything works great. But when I move to a Macintosh platform (Power PC running 10.4.8) and in either Firefox or Safari, when I go to view my (or other) synths, I keep getting taken to the Silverlight installation page, which shows that the proper version is installed. I get the message: "The site you visited was built for an earlier, beta version..." I this just that my mac OS is not supported properly and things work great with V2.0 or is something else going on. Any feed back?
on which site are you getting the "The site you visited was built ...." message, Photosynth.net or the Silverlight teams page? On Photosynth our viewer is built on Silverlight version 2 which does not run on Power PCs, only Intel based macs unfortunately, see: http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/resources/install.aspx#sysreq
Thanks for the quick response! I was kind of suspecting that it was that type of issue. Ah, well..
Rick, there may be hope in the future. Miguel de Icaza commented on Ian Gilman's blog a day or two before you asked this question.
Even though Silverlight 2 doesn't work on PowerPC Macs, Moonlight 2 may come through for you.
