Topic: About the web page & stitching error

Hi, I have one advice and one question.
The advice is about the web page, more specifically about the users profile. I have uploaded many panoramas and when I want to see one in particular, is very tedious to be searching page by page. I want to ask if it wouldn't be possible to dispose one searching box to look through your panoramas. By the way, it would be interesting too to have a way to searh by tags, or see a world map where your uploaded panoramas are located. Even a creation of albums would be interesting.

In the other hand, I have a question. Recently I have been suffering few problems while stitching in my iPod touch. It doesn't happen with every synth but sometimes the program crashes (due to lack of memory or whatever) and when I open again the app and select to stitch again, it says "Can't stitch panorama. Sorry, something went wrong and we can't stitch the panorama", losing my panorama for ever. Is any way to fix this "bug"?

Thank you

Hi, txukrutman,

I like your ideas about being able to search only one's own panoramas and photosynths, organizing your panos and synths into albums|folders|playlists, and seeing only your own panos and synths when looking at the Photosynth Map App on Bing Maps.

As far as search goes, after you have added tags to more of your panos, you might try searching the website for your username in combination with the keywords that you're interested in. That seems to work, whether the keywords after your username are words in the title of the pano/synth, words in the tags of the pano/synth, or part of the description text in the pano/synth.

For future use, the New Feature Suggestions/Requests forum ( ) might actually be a better outlet for this sort of post.

As far as your problem with the mobile pano app goes, I can't say I've seen this issue reported before. It certainly doesn't sound good. I've asked Photosynth team members (I am not one) to look into your report.

To avoid running out of RAM during stitching, you can always shut all other currently open apps, either by completely powering off your iPhone and then turning it back on and only opening Photosynth, or by manually closing the other apps. Your fellow iOS users have detailed the manual closing of other apps here:

Normally, bug reports are filed in the Bugs forum ( )

I had always been under the impression that any unstitched pano that was currently stored on the device could be retried/restitched if you ran out of memory initially.

Hi natelawrence,

First of all, thank you for your answer. I don't understand how to search when you say: "you might try searching the website for your username in combination with the keywords that you're interested in". Can you give me a example please?

About the issue of stitching, actually I don't know if it's because of lack of memory or another reason, but definitely don't been able to stitch that panos is really annoying... (Over 1 year ago)
Hi txudrutman,

Do search in that manner, locate the searchbox on top of this page and search for something like:

Regarding the stitch issue, try rebooting your iPod. See this post:
