With more than 400 food carts selling their tasty goods within our city limits, Portland has become a destination for mobile eats. In July, Portland was named the No. 1 street food city in the world by CNN Travel, and according to, the Pacific Northwest is "doing for street food today what it did for coffee in the 1990s."

With an annual attendance of over 2,000, Eat Mobile showcases the food, music and people that make Portland's food scene so special. Part food festival, part cart competition, Eat Mobile allows attendees to sample from 40 of Willamette Week's favorite food carts as vendors compete for the coveted Carty Award.

The fourth annual Eat Mobile was be hosted on Saturday, April 23, and was an all-ages event produced by Willamette Week, Portland's Pulitzer Prize-winning alternative newsweekly.

The festival is a benefit for Mercy Corps Northwest's local economic development program, which assists entrepreneurs in securing funds for small businesses, including food carts.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, March 23. Tickets are $15 for general admission and include samples at 40 food carts. In addition to general admission tickets, we will offer a limited number of pre-tasting tickets at $45, which will allow attendees to sample an hour prior to the general-admission event and enjoy complimentary Bear Flag Wine, McSorley’s, Pabst, Stumptown Coffee Roasters vitaminwater.

Proceeds benefit Mercy Corps Northwest. Eat Mobile is generously supported by Whole Foods Market, Bear Flag Wine, McSorley’s, Pabst, Stumptown Coffee Roasters and vitaminwater.
