Mount Baker is an active volcano in the beautiful North Cascades of Washington state. At 10,778 feet above sea level it is the 4th tallest mountain in the state. With 8,881 feet of prominence it can be seen for miles and is 27th most prominent peak in the North America. Mount Baker wilderness offers incredible hiking, backpacking and climbing. Early this morning David, Peter, Tony and I flew around the North Cascades in a small one engine plane.
