Description

In 1970 during construction of the Westgate Bridge in Melbourne, Australia, part of the bridge collapsed, killing 35 construction workers.

These fragments were tested at Monash University as part of the investigation into the collapse. They are located adjacent to the Faculty of Engineering at Monash University's Clayton Campus.
