The oldest parts of Ljusdals Church are from the 12th century. The church as it looks now is built 1757. The roof has tarred shingles but that is not visible with the snow on the roof.
Ljusdals Church has a belltower (klockstapel) of a model that is common in this part of Sweden, middle and a bit north.
Our church is wat we call a roadchurch, wich means that it's open for anyone passing by who wants to step in for a moment of peace and guidance maybe.
